My christmas tree. This is the second year im having a x'mas tree decorated at home. But this year had to put up the tree outside coz of Yaadana....the tree with lots of ornaments would be too tempting for her to disturb..hehe

Chocolate moist cake topped with chocolate ganache

Baked this super moist cake yesterday for tea time. Its quite a small cake and finished in a day. Initially i did not want to glace it with ganache but as per request from niece i did...the cake itself it already very moist thus even without the ganache it tastes yummy... Recipe for the cake is below. I reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup coz the ganache would be sweet too.

Home - Dining

Can you believe its only RM5 each? Well every quarter end...there's a sale in this company called Miyao Toki in Kulim. The sale is for 3 days usually and lots of crowd. Most people buy in bulk...i guess its for their business or they gonna resell it for higher price else where. The items are mostly in white like the ones in hotels. Really nice and cheap.

First Day hunt: Bowls, sugar container, milk pour, soup bowl, cup set

Second Day hunt: Oval bowl for mom, new plate set for me and sis, another milk pour and etc

Saw this green plate set...nice but no matching cup/mug set

The pic below proofs that i really make use of the items that i bought. Hubby appreciated that i really make use of all the items and it is indeed not a waste!

Diet Menu

Here are some of my diet menu... 

A balanced healthy dinner: Baked Chicken & Potato with Grilled Vega and Oat bread 

~ i guess i was very enthusiastic and prepared a very good portion of protein, grains, carbohydrate & vitamin
No recipe for this menu as i simply just tried... basically the chicken & veg has to be salted and added pepper then bake!

Beetroot and carrot- Made it into juice for lunch  

Lunch at work when i am lazy

 Breakfast at home - Celery and green apple

Lemon skyjuice all day- good for dieting i read..

1 guava + 2 green apples = 400ml of juice

Chocolate Oats Cookies

My healthy snack. I have an issue to drink the quaker oats (porridge texture).... The 3 in 1 oats is too sweet... So, i bake these cookies as my tea time snack...sometimes my breakfast too if im late for work...munch em in the car, otw to ofc

This recipe was given to me by my mom. Been using this recipe for about 10years now. 

Homemade Chocolate Dipped Strawberry

I usually buy the chocolate strawberry and always feel not enough and want more... Its not cheap, so i decided to make my own. Made it recently for hubby's birthday and it was delicious!

• Melt the chocolate and use a wooden skewer to hold the strawberry 
• Dip the strawberry into the melted chocolate. 
• Once its being fully coated quickly dip it into a glass full of ice water and ice cubes. 
• Remove it from the ice water glass after a minute and walla chocolate dipped strawberry is ready!

Chicken Briyani with Egg and onion raita

2nd attempt in making chicken briyani. I must say its a hit. Hubby finished the every last bit of it!

Yaadana birthday cake and cupcake pictures. Did lots of research to get the cake design and especially to find the professional baker. Googled and found SK Homemade Cake from Penang. Met her only once to show the cake design that i want and the baby tv character that Yaadana likes. You know, the baker has no clue abt baby tv but she did her own research and the end result was walla...superb!

Yaadana's 1st year Birthday Party!

Birthday cake table with candies, popcorn, jellys, cupcakes, fruits, cake pops, cookie pops and juice! Phew.... lots of items..

One bites: Sandwich, tomato bruschetta, cucumber mayo & Chocolate fondue with fruits and marshmallows

Oh, my lovely pom-poms.... took me 3 days to complete 15 pom poms.... love them, they add a fairy kinda touch to the entire deco!

 Helium gas balloons and pom poms outside as well...

Birthday gal's high chair deco.... made it myself..printed the 'I am One' from an online free template portal. Tied pink and purple ribbons for the high chair legs to make it more grand. Also added flags made from wrapping paper surrounding the table top sides... Took me 1 day to complete this setup..

Made the banner myself... collection of picture from newly born until 1 year old.

Pink and pearl white balloon arch. Nicely done by my supplier.

Buffet table spread done by hubby's bro in law. Many thanks to him for preparing all the food for dinner..

Door Gift pack: Chocolates, jelly, masks & sweets. Bought the paper pack from Mr.DIY and made the stickers 'With love Yaadana' in a small shop in Gurney Plaza.

Made the cupcakes myself. Like the swirls of the buttercream. Its a chocolcate moist cup cake btw. The royal icing figures (panda, pink flowers & lady bird) i bought it from Sayang bakery...

Cookie Pops

I also made cookie pops... its butter cookie decorated with royal icing.. i have about 15 cookie cutters in my collection now.. latest addition was snowman, cupcake and milk bottle cutters...Waiting for my supplier to get the latest designs from US... next cookie cutter in collection will be tulip, lips, hot air balloon, daisy, dress...

I was in such rush and had a lot of things to prepare that i forgot to take individual pics of my lovely cookies... so sad... only few pic from my photographer during Yaadana's birthday. I'll try to get more pic from relative if they had taken... hopefully..

My cake pops was a hit during Yaadana's birthday... Cake mixed with frosting coated with chocolate and decorated with sprinkles and royal icing...Yummy yummy... perfect for parties... anyone want for their party, can order from me.. :)
